Percy's PoV. Chapter 66.


    The next day.

"HONEYMOON!" Annabeth screamed from behind me. I was running from her. Gods know what a woman would do to you once she got her hands on you...

"Already?!" I yelled back, breathing heavily. We were zig-zagging through streets around my apartment. Yeah, people probably thought we were crazy.

"COME HERE SEAWEED BRAIN! YOU PROMISED ME!" I heard her scream again. I saw my apartment building up ahead. Once I got to the door, I swerved passed random people and into the lobby. I didn't hear Annabeth behind me so I slowed down to take a breath. I went to the elevator and clicked the up button repeatedly.

"Are you okay, man?" Some guy next to me asked, looking at me. He looked young, about mid twenties, and wore a spotless suit. (A/N: ololo Slender man

"Just," I took in a deep breath once I realized I was panting and sweating, "got married." I hoped the elevator would hurry up.

"Oh," the guy laughed, "I know how that's like." He smiled creepily. I looked toward the entrance; Annabeth's blond curls were bobbing up and down through the crowd.

"That's her!" I said and pointed toward Annabeth.

"Not bad! Good luck man. Don't worry though, it gets better." He patted my back. I stared at Annabeth moving through the crowd, her head was moving around like she was looking for prey.. Then I met her gaze. She stopped and stared at me so hard I thought I might turn to stone. I stared for just a moment and broke into a run for the stairs.

"PERCY!" She screamed so loud, my ears starting ringing. Just as I opened the door to the stairs, I looked back and saw everyone in the lobby had made a path for her and the guy I was just talking to held up his index and middle finger. Peace was the least of my worries.
